Description
The Yarmukian communities flourished in israel and the neighboring countries some 8000 years ago (6400-5700 B.C.E.), during the Neolithic era, a revolutionary period in which drastic changes took place in human evolution. The small nomadic bands of hunting and gathering people were replaced by a new lifestyle in large permanent villages based on an agricultural economy. This worldwide process started in the Jordan Valley, and from there spread to other parts of the Near East.
